Clark Regional Medical Center (CRMC), part of the LifePoint Health Central Kentucky market, is happy to announce that Felisha Workman, who is the market administrative assistant for our Health Information Management department, has been named the 2021 Mercy Award winner for outstanding compassionate care, exemplifying the spirit and values upon which the LifePoint company was founded.
Felisha was nominated for her activity within the hospital, supporting initiatives that meet Clark’s mission of making communities healthier. Her kindness, caring demeanor and compassion are evident in her dealings with others and can be seen on a daily basis.
Felisha is involved in numerous community activities, such as volunteering in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, The American Heart Association Heart Walk, and the Winchester Parks and Recreation’s triathlon event. Outside of work, Felisha and her husband have opened their home to foster children over the last several years, and have maintained contact with several of them. She is not just a foster parent, but a mother to many.
An important part of her job at the hospital is to diligently protect patients and staff’s safety and privacy, and she is noted for accomplishing that among many duties with dignity and professionalism.
“We are so proud of Felisha. She emulates all the qualities of a great leader and definitely possesses a Mercy Award winner attitude. She is just one example of all the great employees we have here at Clark Regional Medical Center,” said Matt Smith, CEO.
The LifePoint Mercy Award program memorializes the legacy of the late Scott Mercy, LifePoint’s founding chairman and CEO. Each hospital annually selects one local Mercy Award winner who consistently strives to embrace Scott’s caring philosophies and reach the high standards he set for LifePoint. The Mercy Award is the highest honor a LifePoint Health employee can receive.
