Healthcare Appreciation Day in Winchester, KY
Whereas September 29 will henceforth be known as Healthcare Appreciation Day for all healthcare workers in Winchester, Kentucky; healthcare workers make our communities healthier by providing essential services like flu shots, vaccinations, medications, health screenings, health education, mental health treatment, substance use treatment, disability services, veteran services, physical examinations, emergency treatment, wound care, chemotherapy, rescue breathing, heart surgeries and a multitude of complex medical procedures that save lives. It is impossible to capture the vast range of healthcare services available in our community, provided to us by trusted friends, neighbors and loved ones right here in Winchester, Kentucky.
Whereas, we take this opportunity to thank all of the dedicated healthcare workers who show up each day to treat, support and educate our community members, working together as a larger healthcare system to solve problems, and enhancing the well-being of our community through their dedication to their profession and their true calling to serve others. We are blessed to have easy access to healthcare experts, advocates and service providers close to home.
Therefore, let it be it known that on this 29nd day of September, I, Ed Burtner, mayor of the City of Winchester, Kentucky, along with Clark County Judge Executive Chris Pace, do hereby declare September 29nd, to be Healthcare Appreciation Day in Winchester and urge residents to express their appreciation for the people, organizations and advanced medicine that make reliable healthcare possible in our community.
